The privacy statement explains Karanba's handling of personal information collected on our website from donors and other individuals we interact with and engage in dialogue.

Donors and Other Stakeholders
From our donors, we collect email addresses, phone numbers, names, and addresses. With active consent, social security numbers may be collected for the sole purpose of obtaining tax deductions on donations. All personal information is stored in the organization's access-secured membership system.
Campaigns and Acknowledgment Lists
During campaigns and special occasions, donors may, with the donor's permission, be personally thanked with their names on our website. This information is deleted from our website at the end of the campaign or within 3 months after the campaign's conclusion.
Use of Cookies
Karanba.org uses cookies to analyze usage and tailor our website to our users. By using cookies solely for statistics, we strive to protect your privacy as much as possible.
We use Google Analytics to measure traffic on karanba.org. This means we can track user behavior on the website using an autogenerated ID number. This tool is used only to improve the content on karanba.org for users. If you wish to opt out of being tracked, you can use a browser extension from Google.
Newsletter
Upon donation or on our website, donors and stakeholders have the opportunity to subscribe to our newsletter. To receive our newsletter, you must register your email address in our newsletter system, Mailchimp. Learn more about how they meet GDPR requirements [here](Mailchimp GDPR link).
If you no longer wish to receive emails from us, you can unsubscribe from the newsletter by following [this link](unsubscribe link in the newsletter), the link at the bottom of the newsletter, or by sending an email to michael@karanba.org.
Limiting Information from Karanba
If you no longer wish to be in contact with Karanba or want to delete your personal information from our databases, you can send an email to michael@karanba.org.
Management of Names and Addresses in Our Database
Karanba does not disclose names and addresses from our databases/membership systems. The exception is annual lists sent to the Tax Administration regarding donations from donors seeking tax deductions.
